Highpoint Virtual Academy of Michigan (HVAM) encourages teens to create, discover, and find their voice. In addition to core courses, they can explore career options while charting their own path to graduation and beyond. Their unique education experiences help shape and motivate students to become who they’re meant to be—which is the greatest achievement of all.

Most people hear ‘virtual school’ and imagine a kid in pajamas, half-listening on zoom with TikTok open in one hand. But for me, virtual school isn’t about laziness, it’s about finally being able to tell my story, not just write it down for a grade.
Let me rewind for a second. Before I enrolled in Highpoint, school felt like something I had to survive, not something I could enjoy. My name is Tori, and to be honest, I never felt like I had a space to be myself, but when I started at Highpoint, everything changed. I had time to become the best version of myself. Highpoint gives me the tools.
The teachers at Highpoint see me. They cheer me on, and that feels real, not rehearsed. I’ve had check-ins where we talk about life goals, and growth – not just grades. I’ve submitted projects that felt more like passions, work that I am proud of. And even though we’re online, I’ve built friendships that go deeper than just who’s sitting next to you in class.
